Tradition...Tradition!

As Mr. Foxy and I approached the end of the first year we were married, we decided to follow the traditional gift guide for anniversaries.  We imagined that it would alleviate some of the pressure each year to give something better than the last, and it would keep things interesting since we would be motivated to get creative. It was the first official tradition for our family of two and is my favorite.

This year was our 5th anniversary, which we celebrated by going to Playa Mujeres, Mexico and giving each other a gift.  Per the gift guide, we could choose between silverware (modern gift) or wood (traditional gift)...shocker, we both went with wood!

I got Mr. Foxy some art on Etsy by Kristiana Parn...painted on wood, which is perfect for obvious reasons.

Mr. Foxy got me a gorgeous handmade tea box to keep all my tea in...as opposed to stashed in the cupboard in random containers.
