Elizabeth Duncan of Pineapple Productions is, in my humble opinion, one of the best wedding planners in DC! She is thoughtful, thorough, and, most importantly, an incredible advocate for her clients as they navigate planning their weddings. I know this because she was key in planning my wedding, and I can honestly say I don't know what I would have done without her! Whenever I spend time with her (most recently over some wonderful cupcakes and pies from Bethesda's own delicious Just Cakes), I come away inspired and uplifted by her!
So when Elizabeth told me about her client and her vintage-inspired peacock Save the Dates, I asked her to tell us all about them:
One of my favorite things about what I do is that I learn something new from every client. In most jobs, routine is comforting. In the event industry, we are on a constant quest to find ideas that are truly unique or completely express our clients in a way fitting to only them. About a year ago, when my client came to me with the idea of getting her wedding save the date from Etsy, I had no idea what she was talking about. Now, I am on the site constantly finding inspiration. For this bride, there couldn’t have been a more perfect fit than the design she found at the UnlessSomeoneLikeYou shop:
My client is sophisticated, worldly, exotic, whimsical, and vibrant. The vintage peacock design and color palette she selected not only speaks to her very unique personality and style, but it also plays off of the historic, French-style mansion in which she will be married this Fall in Washington, DC - Meridian House. This unique sense of style doesn’t stop with the Save the Date. I am really excited about the design scheme that we have created for her event and look forward to sharing it with you after the wedding!
Pineapple Productions, the event planning company Elizabeth works with, specializes in weddings and can handle everything from week-of coordination through comprehensive event planning and design. Lucky for Elizabeth, Pineapple handles events everywhere from DC to California. If you have any questions about planning your event, ask away! You can also email her here.
