Button Bridal Bouquet

I could wax poetic about the wonderful-ness of Etsy. But it's been done...of course, I can't resist mentioning how it is gratifying to buy something directly from the artist! As a one time small business owner, it feels good to spend my money supporting small business.

That said, the idea of a sustainable bouquet is really appealing. After my wedding, I was loathe to throw away my bouquet. It was so lovely! It had peacock feathers and everything! It hung out in my house, dried flowers and all, until finally we removed the flowers and I folded up the ribbon that bound them and stashed it in a keepsake box.

So, sentimental girl that I am, a bouquet that does not wilt and is not silk flowers is delightful! Even if you want some flowers mixed into your bouquet, think of all the possibilities...as centerpieces, cake embellishment, boutonnieres.

So when I came across the idea of button bouquets, I found them utterly charming.

They come in all different styles and colors. This first one is from Mrs. Gibson's Atelier.

This last one is so sweet! I love the heart-shaped buttons on some of the flowers. (via kottonkandy52)

  1. My daughter got me started on button bouquets because she wanted one for her recent wedding. They are so fun and varied!
