Real Wedding at Woodend Sanctuary

The weekend of April 3rd, my dear friend (all the way back to high school) Etaine was married. Marc, her husband, is wonderful, and all of us are so happy that they found each other!

Etaine and Marc were married at Woodend and it was gorgeous. What started out early as a soggy spring morning turned into a clear (but a little windy) day - there was even a rainbow. Etaine & Marc's ceremony was held outdoors in the the grove at Woodend - it was really magical. The trees surround you, and you forget that you are a stone's throw from downtown Bethesda and NIH.

Etaine looked absolutely lovely in her gown by L'ezu Atelier, and her father was so charming in his coat, tails, and top hat. As they walked down the path to the ceremony together, it was really special.

The reception at Woodend was so much fun. Several old friends were there and we all danced like crazy. The food by Marco Polo Catering was excellent (the cake in particular was incredible), and Etaine's mom did an excellent job on her flowers!

I particularly loved that the flowers on the altar were potted Hydreangea. After the weddding they were taken home and replanted outdoors.

Every part of the wedding was so special yet down to earth (just like Etaine). It was truly memorable.
