Having been both a bridesmaid (many, many times) and a bride (once!), I have often wondered what being a bridesmaid was all about. Sure, I knew that the bridesmaids helped the bride through the planning process and, of course, helped the bride get ready on her wedding day...I just had no idea of the history.
